A 40-year-old man was brought by an ambulance. On the eve of his friends, he marked the end of urgent work. We drank a little, had a bite than we have to. And today, an unbearable girdle pain forced to call an ambulance. Yes, and before that I noticed some deviations in the state of health; after drinking a glass of alcohol for several days there was loose stool, periodically there was pain either under the spoon, then in the lower back, or on the left side of the chest.

Children, playing, even bury each other on the shoulders or waist-deep, few people know that there is a simple and ancient way of treating heated sand. It is called “psammotherapy” – from the Greek layer psammo – sand and therapia – treatment. Herodotus, Galen, Avicenna wrote about psammotherapy. And in Russia, heated sand began to be used at the end of the 19th century for the treatment of kidney and joint diseases.
For medicinal purposes, sea, lake, river sand is used, which includes quartz, feldspar, mica and other rocks. Depending on the size of the grains of sand, the sand can be coarse-grained (more than 0.5 millimeters each), medium-grained (from 0.5 to 0.25 millimeters) and fine-grained (from 0.25 to 0.1 millimeters).
