Psoriasis

The causes of psoriasis, although widely studied in different countries, are still reliably unknown. There is evidence of a hereditary predisposition to this disease, that it is based on a violation of the immune status – a weakening of the body’s defenses. It is suggested that the disease causes the virus, but it has not yet been isolated. A significant role in the development of psoriasis is given to disorders of the central nervous and endocrine systems.

Insufficient knowledge of the exact cause of the disease, as well as the factors causing its exacerbation, and explains the difficulties that have to be encountered in the treatment of psoriasis.

Scientists and clinicians have come to the conclusion that not in all cases when a diagnosis of psoriasis is made, active treatment should be immediately carried out. It is now clear that even early treatment does not prevent the further progression of this disease. And if the patient has a single rash on the skin, the so-called on-duty plaques, then he is usually prescribed, as we say, gentle therapy: we recommend washing more often, lubricating nodules and plaques with 1-2% salicylic ointment, solidol ointment, baby cream, cream “ Special”.

Based on my personal experience, I believe that on-call plaques, if there are few of them, do not need to be lubricated at all. And those patients who, not trusting the doctor, nevertheless, do harm themselves, so that, as they think, “to capture the disease at the very beginning”, they begin to intensively lubricate the skin rashes. As a rule, after this, plaques and nodules spread to other parts of the body, the disease recurs and brings a lot of physical and moral suffering.

Such patients have to be hospitalized in a hospital. They are prescribed various drugs, including soothing the nervous system, and the affected areas of the skin are lubricated with special ointments. It is difficult to carry out such treatment at home, as the ointments have an unpleasant smell, stain clothes, clothes.

A fundamentally new, effective method of treating psoriasis is photochemotherapy, or, as it is called, PUVA – therapy. Its essence is the effect on the body of the long-wave part of ultraviolet rays in combination with psoralen preparations. There are contraindications to photochemotherapy. Do not prescribe it to patients under the age of 18, the elderly, as well as those who have a mild illness. PUVA is contraindicated – therapy for people suffering from hypertension, peptic ulcer, oncological diseases, and liver diseases. PUVA – therapin is carried out by specialists in many cities of the country.

A few words about the sensational method of M.V. Golyuk, protected by copyright: we are often asked by patients about it. MV Golyuk offers patients to take inside preparations from plants of the Araliaceae family (extracts of Aralia, Eleutherococcus) and at the same time lubricate the lesions with ointment containing fresh egg white, bee honey, celandine, medical solid oil and baby cream. To prepare 100 grams of such an ointment, take 90-88.2 grams of solidol, 5.5-6 grams of protein, 2-2.5 grams of honey, 1.5-2 grams of baby cream and 1-1.3 grams of celandine herb powder all mix well. Method M, V. Goliuk can be used for baking psoriasis.

According to the testimony, the doctor prescribes ointments with naftapan, ichthyol, tar, as well as psoriasin and antipsoriaticum ointments. At the same time, the patient is treated with various drugs, including through injection.

I draw your attention to the fact that the doctor selects a method of treatment for each patient strictly individually. And I urge you not to show initiative and. without consulting a doctor, do not use any medications, including ointments, at your own risk, otherwise you can really hurt yourself.

You need to know that not all patients benefit from sea bathing, sunbathing. In the south, it is recommended to rest only for those who have more rashes in winter. Such patients can swim in the river, lake, sunbathe, but, of course, not during the period of exacerbation.

If skin rashes are most pronounced in spring and summer, then there can be no talk of relaxation in the south and sunbathing, it is better to take a vacation in winter. Psoriasis patients are shown mud spas, where there are sulfide, radon and low-mineralized waters. Sanatorium-resort treatment gives only temporary improvement, lengthens remissions.

Maintaining good health throughout the year helps compliance with the regime of work and rest. We must try not to allow neuropsychic overloads, adhere to a protein-vitamin diet (vegetables, fruits, lactic acid products, cottage cheese, low-fat meat and fish, milk). It is necessary to limit carbohydrates (sugar. Cakes, sweets, jam), animal fats (pork, lamb), especially during an exacerbation of the disease. Exclude alcohol, since it sharply worsens the condition of the patient with psoriasis.
